"V": Jonathan Frakes Steps in As Director
Jonathan Frakes (forever William Riker of Star Trek: The Next Generation) has directed the sixth episode of “V.”
The episode is significant for the series because it will feature the reveal of Fifth Column leader John May, portrayed by actor Michael Trucco (late of Battlestar Galactica). The episode is written by co-executive producers Charles Murray and Natalie Chaidez.
Frakes has certainly earned his directing stripes, not only for the number of episodics he’s helmed but by the fact that also directed the Star Trek feature films First Contact (incredible feature debut!) and Insurrection (what happened?). Question is, will Frakes return for future episodes?
