Cheech and Chong To Hit The Big Screen Again?

Further evidence that nothing is left untouched in Hollywood!
Well, there's no doubt that Cheech & Chong have been successful with their brand of humor. After putting out several comedy albums, they decided to take their act big time and hit the movies. Pretty much everyone has at least heard of "Up in Smoke", even if they have never heard of the seemingly endless movies that came out afterwards, and apparently they are set to pump out a brand new movie soon.

Cheech Marin, while promoting the film "The Perfect Game", had this to say: "Actually, if we do the next Cheech and Chong movie I’m going to direct that." He then said, "They’re still writing it right now. Tommy’s doing most of the writing because we’ve decided to divvy up the chores. He’ll write it and I’ll rewrite it and then I’ll direct it and he’ll try to redirect it. We’ve come to a stage where we both recognize what our best talents are individually and together and to learn how to talk to each other. I think that’s one of the things we learned from the separation of all those years. It’s amazing working with someone for that long, taking off longer than we were together and then coming back to do it because there’s no threat of, ‘Well, if you don’t do it my way I’m gunna quit.’ We already did that."

Well, on one hand, I guess I'm glad that they worked out their differences. But I don't know that in todays society it could really bring in anything significant at the box office. It sounds like it's early on in the planning stages, but hey, Cheech won't be playing his role as Hurley's dad on "Lost" anymore so I suppose he would be looking for new income. What do you think...worth it, or not?
