Is Lindsay Lohan Headed To Jail?
Is anybody shocked that this could happen?
According to TMZ, Lindsay Lohan is in violation of her probation and is now headed to court, where it's likely that she will have to serve jail time. Lohan is on probation stemming from a DUI, and part of the probation she is supposed to go to alcohol education classes at least once a week...with the stipulation that if she did not, she would have to serve jail time.
Here's the kicker.
The school Lohan chose is only required by it's state law to notify the court system if the guilty party fails to show up for 21 days, or 3 weeks. Apparently, she has been waiting until those 21 days are up to take her alcohol education classes, because she knew it would not be reported to a judge.
TMZ is reporting that when Lindsay has her next progress hearing on May 20, that her attendance will be called into question, even though the judge had made it very clear that there would be NO second chances for her.
TMZ reached out to Lohan's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, to attempt and confirm this and instead got the following email in response: "We have received no negative written report from the program and contend Ms. Lohan is therefore in compliance."
Well, it looks like she be part of a growing list of celebrities that end up in jail! I really doubt it will be very tough on her though, celebs tend to get special treatment.
