Join the Fantasy Book Club!
New fansite "Fantasy Book Club" wants YOU to join up and get reading fantasy. We'll have some awesome fantasy book picks and lots of fun discussions!
We'll be reading and discussing the attributes of at least one book a month, unless the group wants to read faster! We'll be posting a calendar soon.
The good thing about fantasy books is that they usually come in threes (or more), so you can read as fast (or slow) as you like!
Our first book and trilogy will be The Summer Tree, book 1 of The Fionavar Tapestry, written by Guy Gavriel Kay. He actually worked on the Silmarillion with Tolkien!
It's an Arthurianesque fantasy novel about 5 people from our own world who are transported to the first of all worlds, Fionavar. Each of them has a destiny to fulfill and an interesting part in the storyline.
Find the book somewhere (Amazon) and start reading. We'll have a more indepth article about the first book where you can submit comments and share thoughts. Look for it here at The Fantasy Book Club.
