Star Trek World Premiere Announced

"In a release from Paramount Pictures Australia earlier today, the company announced director/producer J.J. Abrams and cast members Eric Bana, Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto and Karl Urban will present the film to 1,600 guests in Sydney Opera House's legendary Concert Hall on April 7."
I am a little confused with Paramount's selection of Sydney Australia. The film was not shot there, and as far as I know Sydney doesnt have as large of a Treky following as say San Fransisco the proposed home of Starfleet. But just as with everything else in the land of business, I'm sure it revolves around money.
