Alien Invasion Flick 'Monsters' Lands a Distributor!

So, we are in for another 'Monster' movie! No pun intended. But this time around this 'Monster' movie seems to have a bit of substance.
Magnet Distribution has purchased the rights to distribute a new 'Monster' movie to the public. Will it be your typical 'Monster beams down from another world to wreak havoc on the earth' story. Or will this movie actually have a plot that is backed up by a decent story? Check out the films synopsis:

"Six years ago previously, a NASA probe returning to Earth with samples of an alien life form crashed over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear, and half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain 'the creatures'... The story begins when a U.S. journalist agrees to escort a shaken American tourist through the infected zone in Mexico to the safety of the US border."

Just from this plot synopsis I'm kinda psyched to see this movie. There is actually a concrete reason why alien life forms have been developing on Earth. Which is something that is missing from a lot of Monster movies. The monster in question usually has no reason to even be there.

Magnet has distributed Let the Right One In, Timecrimes, and The House of the Devil. Add 'Monster' to their list and slowly but surely Magnet is becoming a real player out there in Hollywood Distribution land. Neil Marshall's sure to be insane Centurion has also been locked up by Magnet Distribution.
