EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Tim Kring, Part 1 — Shift & Conspiracy For Good
In the first part of this exclusive interview with writer/producer Tim Kring, he discusses his Conspiracy For Good Project and his debut novel, Shift, which will hit stores in August.
Conspiracy For Good (located at www.conspiracy forgood.com) is described as an inaugural movement that blends online and real-world tasks to effect social change through audience participation. CFG combines Kring's original storytelling (www.ConspiracyForGood.com/about) and Nokia's Ovi platform (www.ovi.com) to create a dramatic, fictional experience using interactive theatre, mobile and alternate reality gaming (ARG), music and physical participation to do good in the world Participants will become part of the plot development and will find the necessary tools and clues to move the narrative forward and into the real-world, ultimately creating social and educational change for the Chataika Basic School, located in the village of Chataika in eastern Zambia.
As to the plot of Shift, co-written by Kring and Dale Peck: “A new caliber of thriller set at the collision of '60s counterculture and the rise of dark forces in world government. Heroes creator Tim Kring injects history with a supernatural, hallucinogenic what-if.
“Set in the crucible of the 1960s, Shift is the story of Chandler Forrestal, a man whose life is changed forever when he is unwittingly dragged into a CIA mind-control experiment.
