New Cast Members Added to Adaptation of Bullet to the Head
As /Film is reporting, the Sylvester Stallone/Walter Hill film based on the graphic novel Bullet to the Head has signed on actors Christian Slater, Andewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Holt McCallany (late of FX's Lights Out).
Also, says the site, "In addition, we’ve got confirmation that Sung Kang (Fast Five) will play the sidekick role to Sylvester Stallone — i.e., the part that Thomas Jane was initially hired to play. Here’s the recap of the basic plot of the Alessandro Camon script (which Walter Hill was rewriting) as we’ve previously reported it: [Stallone teams]with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington, D.C. The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge."
According to Variety, Akinnuoye-Aghaje portrays the villain of the film, who is described as “a powerful attorney who’s trying to cover up his scam to exploit poor neighborhoods that have been ravaged by Hurricane Katrina. Christian Slater will be a local handler who acts as a middleman, and Holt McCallany will play a dirty cop who’s partners with Kang."
