EXPENDABLES 2: Travolta and Norris Signed to Co-Star?
When Sylvester Stallone came up with the concept for The Expendables, he wanted to give veteran action stars an opportunity to achieve their former glory. It seems like the plan remains the same with Expendables 2 with rumors of the latest casting.
Reports RTT News, "John Travolta and Chuck Norris have both reportedly signed on to appear in the upcoming sequel to Sylvester Stallone's action film The Expendables. The news comes from producer David Varod, who rattled off the film's jammed packed cast of action heroes while speaking with novinite.com. 'Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, John Travolta, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke . . . who else? Of course, Bruce Willis,' Varod said of the cast."
Whereas Stallone directed the original,this time that job will be given to Simon West. At the moment the actor is working with director Walter Hill on Bullet to the Head. Expendables 2 will be released summer 2012.
