40th Anniversary - Dirty Harry: Do You Feel Lucky?
Uh-uh, I know what you're thinking, punk: What is Clint Eastwood's most popular character? Well given that he played Harry Callahan five times and blew audience's heads clean off, before you guess you have to ask yourself one question: do I feel lucky? Well do you, punk?
In 1971 Clint Eastwood introduced audiences to "Dirty" Harry Callahan in Don Siegel's Dirty Harry, a no-nonsense and violent cop who did what he had to do to get the job done. At the time, Harry was a pretty evolutionary (some might say "de-evolutionary") character who went on to star in no less than four sequels: Magnum Force (1974), The Enforcer (1976), Sudden Impact (1983) and The Dead Pool (1988).
This year marks the 40th anniversary of Dirty Harry's debut, and to commemorate we're offering up the videos below.
