Stephen King's Pet Sematary Being Remade

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision column, Stephen King's Pet Sematary is the next target of Hollywood's rapidly expanding obsession with updating old films.
The original film, produced in 1989 and based on King's 1983 novel, chronicles the demonic turn of a child run over by a truck who is buried in an ancient burial ground and returns from the dead... not quite himself.

The new script is being written by Matthew Greenberg (who also adapted the author's 1408). The film is being produced by Loenzo di Bonaventura and Steven Schneider. At this point there is no director attached.
