Update:Michael Myers With Or Without His Mask in H2?
According to sources on set of Rob Zombie's H2, 70% of the time we will see Michael Myers with his mask...
70% of the time we will see Michael Myers with his mask off sts Wayne Toth, the make up and FX guru for H2. Tyler Mane is portraying Myers and will appear as the crazed oversized Michael Myers we have seen from recent leaked set pics. Toth goes on to say "That's Michael's new look for a lot of the film. Fans will be shocked. They seem pretty responsive to it. But it's like anything else, as long as you're doing something cool, people get it."
The sequel to Zombie's Halloween remake will be set 2 years after the first installment ended. In between movies it is said that Myers has been out roughing it of sorts, exposed to all of the outside elements for some time.
When asked about what we will see of the Michael Myers mask Toth sts "There are a couple different versions of the mask, but none of them are the same mask from the first film. He wanted to take them a step further, even though one of them is basically supposed to be the last mask. We've changed it anyway. Then towards the end of the film is the current version of the mask which is a lot different from any of them we've seen. People are going to be surprised when they see it. It's going to thrown the Myers fans for a loop."
Nothing wrong with being a little different, after all isnt that what these reboots are all about?
Update: Below is a early prototype photo of the new mask from Rob Zombie's H2. From Rob Zombie's Myspace blog where he sts that make-up artist Wayne Toth returns and is "back on the case working the greatest Michael ever." This movie is scheduled to hit theatres August 28, 2009.
