Thomas Dekker Confirms Final Negotiations For A Role In The Nightmare On Elm Street Reboot
Last week the news dropped that Thomas Dekker was going to be cast in the Nightmare On Elm Street remake also starring Jackie Earle Haley (Freddy Krueger) and Kyle Gallner (Quentin).
Dekker confirms last weeks news while speaking at a red carpet premiers for Rob Hall's new hack and slash film "Laid to Rest":
“I am in final negotiations,” It would be the role of Jesse. It’s a good script and I was very impressed."
"Look, I have my feelings about remakes, but… it’s Freddy Krueger!” (laughs) “It’s like, come on! Give me a break!”
The remake follows closely the antics of a serial child molester murdered by a mob of angry parents who in turn torch the madman's house in order to get revenge from a failed court system. The killer returns with a burnt face and razor sharp knives on each finger from his left hand only to now haunt the children, killing them in their dreams.
New Line Cinema has the reboot scheduled for release on April 16, 2010.
