Donner Pushes X-Men First Class Into Production
Josh Schwartz of OC fame, will be writing the script.
Producer Lauren Shuler Donner elaborates on what is next for the young X-Men franchise:
"It is the first class of Xavier's school, way back when, so it's young Scott, young Jean, young Beast and that'll be really fun," Donner said. "I think (the plan) is to follow some of the characters into their own stories, and weave them back into the X-Men world.
"And hopefully First Class will become its own franchise and we can follow them as they grow up."
At least they are sticking to the core characters and not following the likes of any new mutants they introduced in the last 3 X Films. Donner also states that Magneto Origins is still a go and remains in development.
Looks like Tim Peocock who portrayed Cyclops in X-Men Origins Wolverine will have a lengthy career if all the cards are played right.
