Teenager Saorise Ronan reunits with her Atonement director Joe Wright on Hanna, the new action film that casts the actress as an assassin. During WonderCon 2011, she sat down with journalists to share her thoughts about the film.
Hanna, opening in theatres on April 8th, could very well be a surprise action hit of the year. In the Joe Wright-directed film, a 16-year-old who was raised by her father to be the perfect assassin is dispatched on a mission across Europe, tracked by a ruthless intelligence agent and her operatives.
Hanna (Saoirse Ronan) is 16 years old. She is bright, inquisitive, and a devoted daughter. Uniquely, she has the strength, the stamina, and the smarts of a soldier; these come from being raised by her widowed father Erik (Eric Bana), an ex-CIA man, in the wilds of North Finland.
This past weekend at WonderCon, director Joe Wright and actress Saoirse Ronan appeared on a panel to discuss their new action film Hanna, which opens this Friday. If you weren't there (or even if you were), this is your chance to check out the panel for yourself.
